We were so terribly saddened to hear the dreadful news that Alan had passed away. We both remember him for his constant friendship, happy smiling greeting whenever we met. We go back to 1973 and remember him coming up thru' the ranks as we all endeavoured to do. He was indeed an immaculate, gentle man, something that is sadly missing in this era. A lasting image we have is of his china cup of tea held aloft, like the Holy Grail! Both he and Terry have left this mortal coil far too soon, they will be greatly missed!
